Network schools are now fully engaged in their inquiries for the 2016 – 2017 school year. See what they are working on with the following lists of 2016 – 2017 AESN Inquiries.
As part of a 3-year project, we also have a number of secondary schools involved in an AESN Impact Study, being conducted by Dr. Catherine McGregor from the University of Victoria. These schools are primarily focusing their inquiries around Aboriginal transitions. See the 2016 – 2017 AESN Transitions Inquiries to learn more.
School teams use the template below to submit their inquiry focus at the beginning of the school year, and then submit case studies at the end of the year to document their experience. Two key resources that support this process include the Spiral of Inquiry, as well as the 4 Key Questions for Scanning and Checking.
There is a lot that we can learn from the work taking place in other schools and we hope that you will take a close look at past AESN case studies. Just to get you started, take a look at this sample case study from Pineridge Elementary SD#52, along with their presentation capturing the school’s story and inquiry project.
We very much look forward to receiving your submissions and encourage you to contact us is you have any questions.
